Aldis Birdseye Browne, II was active/lived in Connecticut, Florida, District Of Columbia.  Aldis Browne II is known for portrait, mural, iceberg and landscape painting, scenes of Barbados.

Biography   Aldis Browne, II

Aldis Browne was born Aug 2, 1907 in Washington, D.C. and died May 7, 1981 in Davenport, Florida.  His father, Evans Browne, was a lawyer.  His mother was Louise Harrison Browne, and he had a younger brother, Evans Browne, Jr.  Browne's grandfather, and namesake, was also a lawyer in Washington, D.C. He was cited in A History of the City of Washington: Its Men and Institutions in 1903 as one of Washington's best known corporation lawyers.

For most of his life, he was a resident of Essex, Connecticut, where he was founding member of the Essex Art Association.  He studied at Westminster College and Yale School of Fine Arts, receiving a BFA from Yale in 1934.
