Miniaturist portrait painter Anna Margaretta Archambault was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1856. Her work may be found in the collections of the University of Pennsylvania Engineering School, Philadelphia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Independence Hall, all in Philadelphia; United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland; and the Butler Art Institute, Youngstown, Ohio.
She was awarded prizes in 1922 and 1925 by the Pennsylvania Society of Miniature Painters, and in 1941 by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She exhibited in London at the Royal Miniature Society.
