Arthur Levy Kaye was born in New York City on July 5, 1915. Kaye moved to Los Angeles in 1925. He studied there at Art Center School and Chouinard Art Institute. While a resident of North Hollywood, he worked as a graphic artist for the Los Angeles Times for 30 years. He died in Valley Village (Los Angeles) on October 22, 2010.
