A profile portrait of Ehrenswaard representing Meijerfeldt also entitled “Général Meyerfelt” in Ehrensvärd's hand, pen and gray ink, 16.8 x 16 cm., Is in the National Museum (NMH212 / 1968).
Ehrenswaard has portrayed the known general as a brick wall, a siege weapon that has been used since ancient times to make holes in fortress walls. It consists of a long and coarse oak beam, which at the front end is provided with a metal wedge, usually in the form of a rubber head (Latin aries).
