Biography Clyde Clack
Clyde Clifton Clack was a painter, graphic artist, illustrator and fine arts teacher. Clack taught professionally at the Dallas Art Institute and was Director of Art Education at Binney & Smith Company from 1937.
Clack was born in Bonham, Texas in 1896. He attended the Southeastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma and was a graduate of fine arts from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma. While at the University of Oklahoma, he studied under Oscar Brousse Jacobson.
Clack taught fine art at the Dallas Art Institute and was a board of directors member. He was the author of books and articles on art education. Clack died in his Dallas home and was buried in the city.
