Elinore Blaisdell was active/lived in New York, Pennsylvania.  Elinore Blaisdell is known for illustration, teaching, writing.

Biography   Elinore Blaisdell

Book illustrator in New York City, Elinore Blaisdell was also known for her poetry, art and writing.  She worked for the Grolier Society and University Society, and during her career illustrated at least 45 books.  She was married in 1928 to "Mike" Melrich Rosenberg, and illustrated three books by him:  Child's Life of Jesus, Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare, and Falcon, Fly Back.  She also did illustrations for Little Women.

Blaisdell was a student of Robert Brackman at the Art Students League, and studied drawing with Naum Los.  She attended the Slade School of Art in London.  Blaisdell married Melrich Rosenberg in 1928, and after his death in 1937, never remarried.
