Grace Earle Harrison was born in New York City on March 29, 1853. Grace Earle was the wife of N. P. Harrison. She was a resident of Chicago by 1890 and later taught in the public schools there. By the mid-1920s she had moved to San Diego and was active in the local art scene. Her last few years were spent in Los Angeles; she died there on Oct. 30, 1945.
