American artist Harold Morgan Camp (a.k.a Harold M. Camp) was born August 23, 1885, in Litchfield Connecticut, to Theodore Henry Camp - a cotton wadding manufacturer, and Ella Cowperthwaite Camp. Harold was the youngest of the three Camp siblings, his sister Marion having been born in 1876, and his brother Victor Newell, born in 1882. Harold is a descendant of colonial Connecticut’s Governor Thomas Welles, thru his paternal grandmother, Sarah Wells Kellogg Camp.

The Camp family resided in Mountainside Borough, NJ (1900), and later on Quincy Street, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn NY (1910.) The Camp family spent summers (circa 1900) at Sea Cliff NY resort   ...  Displaying 750 of 9735 characters.
