Miss Harriet M. Cantrall, 87, a supervisor of art in the Springfield School System from 1898 to 1941, died Thursday. Born near Cantrall, she was the daughter of Joseph S. and Margaret Canterbury Cantrall and had resided here for many years. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Pratt Institute and Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Oregon. Some of Miss Cantrall's paintings are on display at Springfield High School and the state museum. She was author of magazine short stories and co-author of Art and Daily Activities.
