Jacques Durand-Henriot, born December 4, 1922 in Paris and died October 15, 1997 in Rennes, was a painter, engraver and draftsman. Many of his paintings were poetic and often landscapes of Brittany, Normandy and Italy as well as scenes of horses in Deauville .
He was a pupil of Unterseteller at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris . From 1971 to 1988 he was Director of the Regional School of Fine Arts of Rennes . He participated in numerous group exhibitions including in Paris at Salon d'Automne.
