Retired jeweler who resumed his youthful interest in painting, c. 1950+.

Colyer, who is showing two paintings in the San Luis Obispo county art show next week, was born in New Zealand where a budding interest in art was the inspiration for many sketches of that land across the sea. He came to Paso Robles over forty years ago, he and Mrs. Colyer establishing their home in that city and opening a jewelry store and optometry business, which took much of his time, but never drew him completely away from his original interest in artistic expression in line and color.
