The American Conceptual artist who, early in her career, adopted the fictional, masculine-sounding name Lutz Bacher, and who thereafter refused to reveal personal details about her life, died on May 14, in Manhattan. She was 75.
The cause was a heart attack, according to a spokesperson for Galerie Buchholz, which represents her work in Germany.
