Biography   Mary A. Courter

Watercolorist, 1907. At the wedding of Mildred Perry and Oscar Flentge, wedding gifts included: “one water color painting, Miss Mary Courter, one water color painting, Miss Schutze, two water color paintings, Jessie Kirk,” SLO DT, Oct. 11, 1907, p. 5. Courter, Mary (misc. bibliography) [Do not confuse with Minerva F. Courter wife of John P. Courter, Jr. who lived in Oakland per 1910 U. S. Census.] HUSBAND John P. Courter, age 55, b. New York, a lumber dealer residing in San Miguel, registered to vote on Aug. 16, 1887 per Calif. Voter Register; Mary Pollock, married John Phillip Courter, Senior, on Jan. 4, 1872 in San Francisco, Ca., but he died in San Miguel on May 27, 1906 per Calif. Pioneer and Immigrant Files, 1790-1950.
