Born in Whalley, England on June 28, 1860. Mary Orr arrived in the U.S. in 1865. For ten years she studied art in NYC and worked there as a portraitist. She wed architect Henri Fouchaux in 1894. After his death, she moved to Los Angeles in 1910 with her daughter Madeleine. She died there on Nov. 23, 1942. Her rare works include portraits and landscapes. Member: Laguna Beach AA.
