Olive B Cotter (1895-1975) Artist, arts and crafts teacher, photographer, thespian, arrived Morro Bay c. 1929, started The Picture Shop, which housed the local branch of SLO Library and which, by 1933 was turned into an art gallery. She was director of the local WPA recreation and education program, c. 1936.
“Olive Cotter, one of the British ‘immigrants,’ but who came directly to Morro, established a small photography shop in about 1929.
