Pattie Marie Wortley Brown was born near Sugar Creek, KS on Nov. 14, 1900. After arriving in southern California in 1902, Pattie married Cecil Brown in 1919. Among her teachers were Leonard Scheu and Leon Franks. Most of her life was spent in Fullerton where she taught small classes at her studio. Her last years were in Sacramento; she died there on Feb. 27, 1993. Her work includes seascapes and desert landscapes.
