Regina Tatum Cooke was active/lived in New Mexico, Kansas.  Regina Cooke is known for street scenes, landscape and structure painting.

Biography   Regina Tatum Cooke

Painter and writer Regina Tatum Cooke was born on August 22, 1902 in Corsicana, Texas. As a young woman she studied art at Ward-Belmont Junior College in Nashville, Tennessee. She also studied for two years at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas with Birger Sandzen. In 1925 she earned a bachelors degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In 1925 Regina married Bronson Frey Cooke in Denver, Colorado. The marriage ended in 1930, and the artist returned home until 1933 when she moved permanently to Taos, New Mexico.

Cooke exhibited throughout the mid-west during the 1930s 1950s. Her exhibitions included the Museum of New Mexico, Denver Art Museum, the University of Texas-Austin, Centennial Exhibition-Dallas, Mu   ...  Displaying 750 of 2281 characters.
