Valore and Domencio Casini

 (17th century)
Valore and Domencio Casini was active/lived in Italy.  Valore and Domencio Casini is known for collaborative painting.

Biography   Valore and Domencio Casini

Valore and Domenico Casini are members of a family of Florentine artists whose activity took place in the second half of the sixteenth century to the early decades of the next century.  Their work was conducted in close collaboration and both were students of Passignano.  According to Baldinucci, in fact, Valore was the executor of the heads and hands and entrusted to his brother Dominic the clothing. This artistic practice, far from uncommon in the seventeenth-century painting, is itself testimony of the prolific production pace of the workshop, whose direction was dictated by the desire to gain the favor of wealthy clients, and not just of the Medici court.
