Waldemar Krygier was born in 1928 Lodz and passed away in 2006 in Zelow.
Waldemar Krygier was a director, stage designer and painter. Krygier studied stage design at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts in 1957.
During his studies he cooperated with Theater 38, which led to the 1959-1960 season, this time directing all 22 premieres.
Since 1960, he worked with Jerzy Grotowski and his Theater of 13 Rows and Laboratory Theater in Opole and Wroclaw. He was the author of posters and costumes for performances of these
important theaters, such as "Forefathers' Eve", "Acropolis", "The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus," "The Constant Prince" and
"Apocalypsis cum Figuris".
