Wera von Bartels-Heimburg (1886-1922)
Wera von Bartels, daughter of the painter Hans von Bartels, already showed as a child great artistic talent, which was supported and guided by her father. Otherwise, she was self-taught.
She modeled in wax preferably animal figures, which she watched with great empathy and brought into a natural but decorative and balanced form without emphasizing stylization.
Some of her designs were successfully produced by manufactures as Nymphenburg, Heubach and Schierholz as porcelain figurines, bronze figures originated increasingly from 1912 onwards as well.
