Biography
Hayden C. (Howard Renwick) Hayden

Hayden Hayden was a pseudonym for Howard Crosby Renwick born on 13 April 1885 and active as an artist from the 1920s to the 1940s. His parents were William Crosby Renwick and Gertrude Camilla Sears.

Howard Renwick was a first cousin, twice removed, of the famous American architect, James Renwick, Jr. who designed St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, among other buildings.

In Chicago, Hayden/Renwick studied under Haddon Sundblom, the Dean of American illustrators. He did magazine covers, posters, and advertising, and was particularly good at glamour-girl and pin-up style female subjects.
