A graduate of the Art Institute of Boston, Joan Rademacher pursued a career in commercial art before developing an interest in watercolor. That interest led to workshops with notable artists, Betty Lou Schlemm, Don Andrews, and Ferdinand Petrie, and both national and local awards.

Joan is a member of the New England Watercolor Society, the North Shore Art Association, Concord Art Association, Andovers Artists Guild, as well as the Newburyport and Haverhill Art Associations.
She is in private collections in the United States and abroad. Her work is in many corporate collections including BankNorth and Georgetown Bank. Rockport Publisher’s, “Best of Watercolor series; PAINTING LIGHT AND SHADOW” features her painting Burst of Spring.
