He was particularly drawn to jewelry design and studied for four years at Atelier Mentel in Paris. It was a studio which worked with the most famous jewelers of the time including Cartier, Boucheron, Ancoc and Janésich.
Rene Lacaze passed away in 2000 in Maisons-Laffitte, France.
