Richard Malcolm Lloyd

Richard or Robert Malcolm Lloyd (1855—1945)

A painter of marine, coastal and landscape scenes, he was born on July 4, 1855 in London - and died there 89 years later on  July 1, 1945.

His signature in many paintings shows as R. Malcolm Lloyd, which may explain why is first name is often cited as Robert.

References often use the death year of 1907, which given the dates from some of his paintings cannot be correct.

He was active in London, Kent, Cornwall, Sussex, and Northern France between 1879 and 1904.  He resided at Catford Bridge, Kent and also in Central London.  He is mentioned in Mallalieu's British Watercolor Artists up to 1920 and Wood's Dictionary of Victorian Painters.   ...  Displaying 750 of 1030 characters.
