Son of the famous Hollywood animator George Gregory La Cava; served WWII, b.1925-d. 1991 and many photos of him on “Two Soldiers Display Art,” SCN, July 14, 1944, page 1, col. 1 that says, “Lt. Jean Swiggett and Cpl. Wm. Morse La Cava are showing a two man show at Laguna Beach Art Gallery this month. Both men are well established in the art world of today for their creative ability, and find time, despite their long hours of military duty, to carry on with their art. In Cpl. La Cava’s work, he turns to the life about him and gives one of the most unique shows of the year. The group of water colors and drawings he calls ‘The Troup Train’ series is a remarkable record of his impressions while moving up front.”   ...  Displaying 742 of 742 characters.
