La Faviole - by Paulo d'ap HennerDavid Thomson
I have a 16x12 oil on canvas portrait of Fabiola dating from about 1894. It is title "La Faviole" and signed Paulo d'ap Henner.
The facial profile and draping of the hood is superior to many of the other copies I have seen.
Does anyone know who PAULO was, and did he copy any of Henner's other portraits?
JJ Hennner signedRobert
I have a oil on canvas--JJ Henner signed bottom right in red. the frame is very beutiful and hand carved. The woman has red hair and the back has 4 metal brackets marked 1895. I took it to the Dallas Mueseum of Art and she said it was a nice minor work for JJ Henner. They arent allowed to give values. There is an old name plack on bottom marked JJ Henner. It is NOT fabiola. Its about 16x12 without frame. Any ideas on value?
fabiola signed minature , girl in red scarf b cooper
i recently boughtr a signed fabiola painting , looks like watercolour , looks very old on the reverers side , it was 50 p from oxfam, and was attracted to the lovely skin tone ,ime an artist myself so would like more history on this girlplease
I recently discovered that my mom has hidden away a very old painting, and it's signature say "henner" on the bottom left, the painting is of Saint fabiola.
Now I've been trying to find an appraiser for days, But my mom is certain that she is in possession of the original.
I have seen it with my own eyes and can tell you that it is infact a painting, Not a copy of any sort.
It is on a canvas.
I wanted to be sure that the signature was the very same that of Jean-Jacques Henner so I searched online to find a copy of the painting I have.
I have yet to find one that matches it exactly.
I don't want to jump right ahead and assume this is the missing painting for about 200 years.
But any insight you give me will be helpful I assure you.
I have an oil painting on canvas which i inherited recently from my father and was wondering if anyone had any information on this painting called 'Fabiola' by j.j.henner
J J Henner paintingStephen O'Toole
I have found a painting or print by J J Henner among other old framed painting and prints dated early 1900's from late 1800's.
Along with a signature on the bottom right there is a title I believe to say
"Mag dalinReading" any info on this would be great.
J J Henner portraitElena Lamberson
I inherited a portrait supposedly by J J Henner. It is very beautiful and came from my great, great grandmother who bought it from the French Embassy in Washington, DC in the 1920s. If anyone knows anything about this artist or portrait, let me know and I can send you photos of this painting. I have seen several similar to it but the woman in this one is more attractive than the others.
Thanks for any information you may have.
I believe the print you refer to is called "Fabiola", however I am not completely sure of this. I have been searching for information on it myself, as I have a oil painting of the same girl in the red cape, signed by Henner.
